GSU up 17-7.

GSU D already forced two INTs and have converted into 10 points.

This GSU team looks REALLY good. Fast and disciplined.

9 to go in the second quarter.

Seems like your QB had a good rythym going until those two picks, i was interested to see how our D does against your passing attack

Bottom line, you guys are the real deal. You guys have some athletes.

This game is about where I thought it would be at this point.

We aren't playing well on offense, really. Not having McKinnon out there is big. Good to see that last drive was converted. Need to keep our foot on the gas in the 2nd half.

We have something we havent had for a few years, DEPTH. We actually have some defensive players that can come in and out and not drop off, thats killed our defense in years past

I would like to see some izzy in the second half

Yea we've been misfiring a bit on offense. Some of it in the early part was on us with those false starts. We've had a guy moving presnap on many occasions in the first 3 games, the refs finally started catching it today.

Elon's DL was getting some great pressure early in the game which was really throwing us off. We've really got to improve our blocking, it's still not to the level it should be. Credit the coaches for adapting the game plan to get it outside to neutralize what Elon has been doing on defense.

Also the defense has stepped up huge after the first two Elon drives. Two straight turnovers, just wish we could have gotten 14 points instead of 10.

Your defense has put the clamp down. Elon had 134 yards in the first quarter, only 6 in the second.

You guys think you don't look good, but take it from someone who hasn't seen you play this year......your team is WELL managed.

Here's to an injury free second half.

Whats up with the Phoenix/Eagle LOVE FEST? Just Kidding.

ElonPride
October 1st, 2011, 03:05 PM
No love fest! Jsut got to tip my hat to how quickly the GSU coaches turned that program around.

I haven't had a chance to watch GSU this year, and overall, I'm impressed. The second string QB is scary fast, but he sure needs to take care of the ball!

The 2nd string QB is by far our best offensive player. He is a Jayson Foster clone but bigger, and plays a bunch of different positions. Not having him today initially really hurt us.

McKinnon out with a broken hand is the scuttle butt

Broken hand. Not a huge deal. I expect him back next weekend.

not a huge deal when it's not your broken hand..... turnovers were just killers... We have to play error free to even have a chance but good/great teams seem to make those plays.... so you have to say GSU falls into that category. when needed the execution was right on.

If your qb can learn to tuck it a run every once in a while he has the opportunity from time to time to pick up a few yards maybe a 1st, he seemed hesitant at times

Well, I think Swepson will need to seriously think about the OC at the end of the season. Elon's D is pretty good, the O has talent, but obviously isn't being coached correctly.

eagle07
October 1st, 2011, 05:14 PM
Yea, your O just needs alittle tweak... i tell you what, i would hate to be in a close game with time running out and your star wide reciever standing in the end zone with the ball in the air

He learned to eat the ball from his predecessor.

A little tweak? You're being nice there.
