SHSU by 60. Less than that, they drop in the polls.

We are not SFA. We don't run up scores on weaker teams. After we get a comfortable lead the back-ups will be in running out the clock.

TT, is Brian Bell injured?

He had "concussion like symptons," and Coach Fritz mentioned in the postgame interview that any player with those symptoms MUST sit out 7 days. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Yep... this is across all sports.

NCAA is doing a better job with concussions nowadays and they should. I think the Kats will need Bell to defeat SFA, but Sprowls did enough to beat UTSA. Not sure the UTSA offense compares to SFA though...

TT, don't make Sprowles out to be a hero. He didn't play particularly well and in "crunch time' Sincere was in at QB. If Bell is hurt this team is in bad shape. The offense struggled while the defense kept us in and ultimately won the game.

SHSU recap...

HUNTSVILLE — The Bearkats found a way to get it done.

Back at Bowers Stadium after a long road trip to New Mexico, Sam Houston and UTSA were locked in a game dominated by defense Saturday. First downs and points came at a premium in this one.

The 16th-ranked Bearkats made enough big plays on both sides of the ball in the second half and prevailed 22-7.
