Agreed. These teams are playing like they're ranked 15 and 16 or 13 and 15.

Liberty almost never loses in Lynchburg. This is a big road win for the Dukes.

The Flames visit Lehigh next week.

That was Mickey's 6th win over Liberty (6-0). Hard to believe with how close the games have been at the 2 'burgs the past few years. Huge win for the Dukes and Thorpe looked alot better this week with some crisp passing.

Only 5 losses at home for LU since Rocco became coach. 2 of those Ls to JMU, and one to W&M.

I remember them beating a bad Ball St team a couple years ago. But I have to agreed with you, when it comes to showing up and taking that NEXT step as a program they continually fall short. Whether it's vs JMU, or one of those late season losses with the Big South title and a playoff bid on the line they seem to come up small. They have a good foundation for success, loyal fanbase, good stadium, weak conference, it's time for them to step up to the plate and take that next step. I'm tired of hearing how they are shafted come playoff selection time. Handle your business LU.

Road wins seem to be a premium commodity this year, and several teams had very telling road wins that helped this voter: JMU, Chattanooga, Lehigh, Maine - and then Indiana State and Tennessee Tech! - all came away with some impressive road wins yesterday.

Bring your calculator next week to keep track of the points and yardage at Goodman. Hopefully we have a nice track for the meet. Lehigh somewhat banged up from Princeton game. Will be interesting to see the two deep later this week.

LU beat a ranked Elon team a couple years back. Then again, Elon is alot like LU and always seems to come up short in a big game too.
