BROOKINGS - To put it in educational terms, the South Dakota State coaches may major in football, but they minor in film.
Co-defensive coordinator Clint Brown estimates that he watches 40 hours a week - reviewing the previous game, scouting the next opponent and breaking down practice. That's not an unusual number for each staff member - and there are nine full-time coaches, three graduate assistants and a handful of student coaches.
Like most college programs, the Jackrabbits consider film study to be an integral part of the preparation process, and it's not just the coaches. . . . (read more)
