I noticed there are no Logos on this turf. Is that something that comes after it is put down? For some reason I always thought that it was painted before it was put down. Or is it blank for some other reason?

Good move on there part....logos will come afterwards. At least now some people...I won't mention any names....can't complain they lost the Championship due to poor field conditions.

Now, now. No need to bring that up again. I think we have given JMU they credit they deserve. I just wonder if it would not have been Montana - would you have been complaining about the turf?

You could blame the turf for allowing Montana's comeback on Georgia Southern in 2000. And then turn right around and blame the turf for allowing Georgia Southern to score the game winning touchdown on AP's run in the 4th.

Nice picture. The field looks great. Field Turf was a great way to go and should enhance the championships game a lot.

In 2000 that was due to rain. Last year was a perfect night for college football and no need to blame turf for AP's game winning run. Turf had nothing to do with it --> just a great run be a great back.

From what I was told, they didn't put on any permanant logos by the request of the NCAA (schools was going to put blue and gold endzones)...make it easier to put/paint on custom championship logos.
However, it is supposed to have in big letters on the South sideline (home side) "CHATTANOOGA".
I am going to try to go down this week and get some photos down on the field (get some close ups of the "grain" of the field).

Ouch!! But "lost" implies past tense. 2004 is over - and you won't hear the Griz complaining they "lost" in 2005 for any reason. :)

Funny you should post that SC, when is Paulson gonna catch up with the rest of the league? We all know what happens to GSU on wet grass.

Wet fake-turf would only be worse. Hey how does it play with snow? I heard it doesnt freeze and it remains soft. Speaking of snow, it snowed in SD last week.... in May! And they want to play us in October?!!
The grass at Paulson is extremely short. The new turf is longer and hinders speed. Plus real grass, if kept nice, looks better and is how its supposed to be played.
I have never heard anyone complain about the state of Paulson's field.

I dont think you will see turf in Paulson anytime soon if ever. As much as we hate a wet field we hate turf just about as bad. ETSU and Boone have been the places that give us some of the most trouble in conf on the road. We like our field just the way it is. Our stadium is #2 in SoCon to Chatty with out any turf so at this point we have no reason to catch up.
