Only saw a thread for 2005 I-A games, so apologies for creating a new thread. But according to a reliable poster on Furman's fan site, Coach Lamb recently said we will play in Chapel Hill in 2006. Maybe they think they've improved enough to avoid a repeat of the 1999 game (28-3 FU).

If so, this might be a very direct result of the 12th I-A game.

Rumors are circulating about a GSU trip to the Orange Bowl Stadium in 2006.

Good luck to Furman. UNC is a great venue and we had a blast there last year. Attendance was 43,500. We took several buses and they parked us in front of the Dean Dome, which is a healthy walk from the stadium but a good place to tailgate. Parking for cars was even further. They did have a handicapped shuttle for some of our older folks. The traffic sucked.

Well damn.

I sensed that deal beginning to fall through. Shoud've followed up on that. Last time I heard it was "tentative".

Our AD recently stated in a newspaper article that either Furman or JSU can cancel or delay a game for a I-A game. So the topic must be coming up recently.

I doubt it would be canceld. More likely delayed. We played at McNeese two years ago then we played UGA last year. Because we had the I-A last year our series skipped a year and we host McNeese this year.
