Preseason practice for the Western Carolina Catamount football team opened on Wednesday evening on the turf of Bob Waters Field at E.J. Whitmire Stadium. WCU had 95 players report to camp on Tuesday and suit up for the first of two helmet-only practices before donning the shoulder pads for the first-time on Friday evening.
