It's time to start getting the gear ready!!! Replace what was broken last season, or just expand the set up!
Only 30 days remain to stock up on new stuff and clean up the old standby equipment for 2011. A dry run rigging may be in order for you elaborate outfitters. The season will be here before you know it.xnodx

Take care of business!!!

I need a more flagpoles and new xholyx flags as always, what's on your list for this year?

Mines pretty easy. We use a friends big ol' Motorhome and he takes care of all the details and I just donate a few hundy to him at the beginning of the year. There's probably 30-40 of us and most donate about a hundy/per person so we start off the year with a pretty decent food & beer budget.

we also bought a nice 47" flat screen last year for the game on inside the mhome and for other games before and then during 1/2time.

I've already given about $450 this year for the deal so I'm pretty much set with no worries.

I gotta pick up a new grill- nothing overly-serious, just burgers and hotdogs for about 15-20. If anyone has suggestions, I would welcome them.

Here's our setup we call Eagle X-ing (you can see the yellow placards on the corners) taken first game last year. We'll do a warm-up on "Day One", Aug 22 when we introduce new students to Eagle Tradition.

You are semi new here so I'll let you know how this works. You post a question like that about what to buy or suggestions and there will be a never ending debate about every facet that you can imagine. It's a good move if you really are looking for suggestions because there are usually hundreds of opinions on any given purchase.xlolx

Well, it used to be that way at least as I don't know if this is still the effect that it has on here or not.

We have a matt black party bus this year. It will be covered in A's with flags flying. Keg and beer pong inside with a 15 on 15 flipcup game going on outside. The 6 hose bongzilla will cap off the indoor activities with cornhole and grilling going on outside. If you're not wearing the wrong shirt come find us in Raley lot.

That's one major difference between us and you guys apparently. The first thing we do if you are wearing the opposing colors is put a beer in one hand and food in the other. Appaholic asked if he should wear his App stuff when he got here and told him that he should not if he wanted to buy his own beers but if he wanted to skate by on very little coin then he should fly his colors proudly because we treat the opponents with all the respect of an old friend we haven't seen in a while.

Ask him and I guarantee he'll back me on how he was treated and he has the pee spot in his pants to this day to prove it.xlolx

It is summertime alright. End of August beginning of September is the perfect time to get some of those northern boys down south for some good ole hospitality and HEAT with 95% humidity thrown in just to be nice :) them boys from Illinois aren't going to like Huntsville Texas :)

There is ALOT of hospitality in Boone, just not in the student lots. It's just too rowdy.

Sorry to hear that. I don't know that the level of rowdiness is the reason though cuz it's just as easy to get rowdy with the travelers as it is without them. Just different cultures I guess.

If I see a student talking unwarranted trash to an opponent's fan they will likely be escorted out of their space within 30 minutes. It's called CLASS and any ASU fan that doesn't display it around me will be taught a lesson. Our administration will not put up with this crap, we aren't NC State.

Maybe the students are different, but all the people I know that were down for the playoffs had nothing but good things to say about how hospitable and nice the ASU fans tailgating were to them

2007, I still crack up thinking about it. Some of our students were talking trash after the game (I was glad time ran out) and were chanting "We're not Michigan" on the way out. I heard some App students chant back, "We're not Elon". LOL That was the first of the three years in a row Elon beat us and Hatcher's first year, so we didn't know how far we were going to slide yet. I just thought it was a good comeback by App students.

And if we are wearing the wrong shirt? lol. My buddies and I are planning on coming up to that game. You down for a friendly App. vs. GSU pregame beer pong game?

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! August is always the slowest month of the year. Watching baseball games to fill the void is like Chinese water torture.

I love seeing how some of the more serious fanbases here tailgate. ISU does some heavy drinking before games, but not much hardcore, ridiculous set-up style tailgating. This thread needs more pictures!

Just found out that the party bus is a nogo, bummer. Looks like the BP game will have to wait till the postgame party. We'd be happy to play you in cornhole/flipcup at the tailgate though.
