North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple says he expects to reach a conclusion about the fate of the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo after a meeting with the NCAA
Dalrymple believes the atmosphere and even some of the facts have changed since it became a law that UND keep the Sioux nickname.
"That's part of what I think will come out at a meeting. And we want to understand exactly what the situation is and if we misunderstood the situation last winter," Dalrymple said.
The meeting is scheduled for August 12 in Indianapolis. That's just three days before the NCAA intends to impose sanctions on UND.
This would be the letter to President Kelley from Big Sky Commish Fullerton, about the possibility of UND getting booted from the Big Sky if they go on the H&A list.
