NORFOLK, VA - Cameron Alston has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Rookie of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s loss to South Carolina State. A 6-0, 190-pound freshman safety from North Augusta, SC, Alston had his best game as a collegian, collecting 9 tackles, including one for a loss. He also recovered a fumble and returned a blocked field goal 37-yards for a TD, the first of his career.
