From the Austin American Statesman, coach Bailiff from the Bobcats in San Marcos, TX looks to be getting an extension that will push his contract past 2008. That's unheard of in these parts and it's a big "show of support" for Bailiff, which is well deserved. A solid coach on the field, a great motivator off and his kids seem to have turned the page academically, which speaks volumes of him and his coaching staff...
"Athletic Director Larry Teis said he and Bailiff have agreed in principle to extend Bailiff's contract past 2008. Teis said that changes from the original contract offer await approval from regents. "It's going to be done," he said."
