Rhody offers 65 ships in FB. What is highest allowable in 1-AA? How many do other A-10 teams offer?

I may be mistaken but I thought that 63 was the limit in terms of the number of scholarships. The 63 scholarships can be allocated among 85 people.

Am I right?

Richmond offers the max (which I thought was 63). Unlike many of the state schools we have a tough time giving partial scholarships. I would estimate that we have about 75 people on the roster.

DT is correct. I-AA has 63 scholarships spread over a maximum of 85 players.

Last I heard, Rhode Island did not give 63 scholarships (one reason why they struggle in the A10).

I was told 65 (sounded high to me). I think Rhody has 55. We would not win with 200 ships with current coach.

I believe you are correct, the number is 63 and that some scholarships can be split. The last time I spoke to our coach he indicated that some of the scholarships are split.

Our website indicates that the NCAA maximum number is 63 scholarships in football. We do give out 63 - or we did a few years ago according to a chart on our website - the chart hasn't been updated since we cut some teams and reduced the athletic department budget. There may have been a reduction in scholarships as well.
