Opening on the road three weeks in is tough. Good Luck in 2011!

Nice schedule. The Hudson Valley will be ablaze for those October home games.

Marist has on the road to start but two of them are very manageable bus trips. After that it's a nice mixture. How do you guys handle travel to Davidson and Dayton?

This probably deserves a thread of its own, but what is the distance to which a team will fly, and do long bus trips help or hurt a team?

It probably depends a bit on how the bus trip is completed. I know that Dayton has bussed to Davidson in the past. If I remember right, at least for one trip they took three busses. One was for offense, one was for defense and one was a quiet, study bus. Ultimately, I am not a big fan of long bus rides for the team. It seems like more PFL teams are flying than taking long bus trips. The travel in the PFL is actually a great recruiting tool. A local kid to say Marist might choose Marist over another close school for the opportunity to play close to home AND to travel the country, (games at San Diego, Jacksonville, and yes, even the garden spot of the USA, Dayton, Ohio!!). For many kids, this opportunity is attractive versus a bus league for the most part....

Good point about travel for some recruits. Never thought of it that way. Play in the PFL and see the USA.
