A bit early to say he can be a good SoCon QB. He seems like a fine high school quarterback, but I'd still be leery of him after what happened with Rodney Allison's son.

Not the same at all. RA's son had no offers, was a decent HS player and walked on. He is a good kid that has done well for himself. Jacob Heusman is a stud that dominated in HS. He had multiple FBS offers to play QB. You are dead wrong on this one. He runs a legit 4.5 and has 37 inch standing vertical. JH is one heckuva great athlete. We are set at QB from until 2015. Look for us to move to the spread in 2012.

Huseman can be a hero or could ruin his career with this. Stuff like this has been tried at other schools. Seemed to be ok at Furman, but was an absolute nightmare at Elon and Marshall. He has one offer, Air Force. The others just showed interest according to the articles. Which is great, he may be the next great thing.

Some coaches tend to be blinded by their kids on the team. Won't know for sure until you see how Huseman does with Huseman.

It plainly stated that he was offered by Ga Tech and Air Force in the very first article that I linked. Not sure what you were reading.

Even so, this hardly means UTC is "set" at QB. They got a decent recruit, thats great. That doesn't mean they're "set".
If Huesman Jr's other offers were from Air Force and Ga Tech then I assume he is a triple option wingbone/wishbone QB. Thats well and good, and I love that style of play, but it is a departure from the downfield passing attack that Coleman is capable of so it is possible that the transition could be difficult for the offense overall.
Also, as others have mentioned, playing QB for your dad seems to be risky. Look at the sad story of Dan and Cody Hawkins.

Those two secondary prospects sound like studs. But the whole I go wherever he goes thing sounds a little "suspect". Especially when they had BCS offers.

Interesting. ESPN and Rivals have him at no stars with no offers of any kind. He doesn't even exist on Scout.com. Not saying that the recruiting services get it right, because they certainly don't. But if he was such a stud, you'd think he'd get a bit more play on those sites. Personally, I wish the kid the best, but HS and college are very different levels of competition.

Looks like an impressive group. Had to figure Heusman was going to get it done.
