Guess nobody wants to talk recruiting. Hey fargobison do you know if the O-lineman Bjorklund that we had in for a visit recently is related to the Bjorklund on the BBall team?

From what I know I'm pretty sure they aren't related.

I have no clue. I know we have one committment (Trent Garland, Lawrence Co., TN - RB/DB - schools all-time leading TD scorer), only because he played in a recent TN All-star game. It's been asked a million times, but, are there any recruiting websites beside the d@mned rivals and scout.com ones? I would assume that most FCS schools have to wait until Jan to get the committments or ones that aren't being followed-up by the FBS'ers. I'm jealous that other schools already have info on recruits - always a struggle for me to get any info.

Not sure about other FCS schools but Rivals does the best job for tracking commitments and interest for kids being recruited by NDSU. They have an Advanced Search Feature (http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/recruit-search;_ylt=AhwTEXmUgtcdfJPgDdio1hlHPZB4) that lists FCS schools. I got 13 names there when I looked up Tennessee Tech (those aren't all commits - most are just kids who reportedly have interest or been offered by the school you're searching for).

I think we just got a commitment from OL Shaquille Counts. Big week for our recruiting as it's Shrine Bowl week and the best from NC and SC go head-to-head. Hopefully that Clowney kid won't kill any NC guys lol. Hopefully we'll land a few more guys though.

Ah yes....transfer U.

I think we are doing a good job getting Atlanta area H.S. talent, but I believe that Coach Curry is perfectly comfortable with any disgruntled 4 and 5 stars that want to come play with us. The question is whether the talent is actually there or were they just overrated coming out of h.s. But I think the fact that we are in a big city and run a pro-style offense, will make us attractive to a lot of transfers, particularly offensive specialists.

See Star Jackson. Overated

Maybe, the jury is still out. But Drew Little was no joke, he left h.s. as the second most prolific Qb in the history of Georgia H.S. football. Hell he got both of his wr's to Alabama (Chris Jackson) and USC (Ambles) . I think it is more of an indication of the talent we recruited. If you all ran the option last season it probably wouldn't have been written in stone that Jaybo would start.

Yea, I heard ASU is recruiting that Frazier kid now, but I would be suprised if he didn't end up jumping ship to go to a small FBS school.

He is certainly rising up the recruiting boards.

When he officially signed, the ODU website updated posted him at 6-5 but less than 300 pounds. When I clicked the link I had posted in December, his size has been changed in the article too. So he's not as big as reported in December.

In general we lost one verbal who committed to UVa, but we gained a few more. I'll update our recruits later.

We got nobody to speak of and will probably have difficulty fielding a team. Georgia State has taken over this state at the FCS level, except for a few players picked off by App State, Furman, etc.
