Worst FCS team ever to play? possibly. they are 0-10 and have lost 50-7 to St. Joseph and 86-7 against Jacksonville. Any thoughts?

I would nominate the 1991 Prairie View team...

PV averaged only 4.3ppg a game while giving up over 56ppg.
They were shut out 5 times.
They lost to Alabama State 92-0
They lost to Texas A&M Kingsville 41-3, Angelo State 55-0, and to Cameron 51-6

(this was near the middle of an NCAA record 80 game losing streak)

We'd lose to them on a hail mary...

1998 Delaware State. 0-11, outscored 482-189 including a 68-0 loss to Hofstra. 1980 Delaware State would be a close second. 2-9 record, outscored 437-102 including a 105-0 drubbing by Neil Lomax and Portland State (30 years ago tomorrow, 11/9/10) that is still the worst loss in 1-AA/FCS history.

Canisius used to be awful before they dropped the program. Alabama State is pretty bad even by SWAC standards, and has lost their 'classic' game against DII Tuskegee more often than they have won it in recent history.

Mid 1980's Columbia. Utterly hopeless.

Don't forget about NC A&T football this past decade. From 2004 on, A&T only won 13 games. Also got stumped out 70-7 by BCU on National TV.

The only good thing about PV during that losing streak is that they made SportsCenter regularly.

New coach this year, obviously does not have the players to run his desired system. He has been successful in rebuilding other programs, he will be successful at Valpo. Recently, field turf, lights and a new scoreboard were installed. A good sign that Valpo is committed to football. Yeah, it is hard to be patient, especially if you are a Valpo fan, but give them some time, they will be OK.

Savannah State is winless this year, being outscored 378-78 through nine games. Old Dominion was beating them 50-9 at halftime before putting in second/third stringers and winning 57-9. This Tigers team would give Valpo a run for their money in terms of ineptitude.

Jackrabbits and Bison appreciate Valpo. Without their departure to the Horizon, the Summit opening wouldn't have occurred.

After Jacks trounced them in 2006, IIRC, they vowed to NEVER play another schollie team. So, Valpo is Alpo, and there's not even a V in sight, as they get chewed up.

Hope the new coach, like Indiana St. did, can turn it around and return Valpo to competitive. Takes about 3 years minimum to be a success.
