As much as I hate to admit it , he made me laugh. A very nice quip. LU will surely be facing a very angry Gate team next week. Expect the game to be epic. Not that I am optimstic but if Lum can keep passing attack alive we wil have a shot.

Our passing game should do okay against 'gate, assuming we do a good job on the expected blitzes. Establilshing any kind of run game will be needed. Can't have Eachus and Company holding the ball for extended periods of time.

Someone has to produce it. Lafayette takes a minimum four camera team with instant replay, a telestrator and a trained, professional crew even to road games. I've seen Colgate's production - sometimes it's just a guy with a webcam. ESPN has standards.

Funny, though - lately Lafayette's road opponents seem to be disallowing the LSN broadcast crew access to their press box. They had to sit outside at Columbia and Fordham - literally on top of the press box. The crew has pointed this out on the air in each case. What of greater importance could be going on inside that press box than a national ESPN broadcast?

Were I not totally selfish, I'd think the Lafayette Sports Network ought to expand and move to Center Valley, and turn into the Patriot League Sports Network. Then all the games could be on ESPN3 and ESPN GamePlan.

@ LFN - on the Fordham board, one poster observed that, yesterday, the LSN guys (on ESPN) were "not at all homer." They've been known to have two speeds in the past when doing national broadcasts. Personally, I'd have given them a 6-7 (out of 10) on the homer scale. They'll save much for Lehigh, in any event. Will Lehigh make the LSN guys sit outside to do a world-wide network broadcast while some pimply-faced freshman sits in the heated Goodman press box with a cell phone camera and "Junior Engineer® Play-Time Microphone?"

Actually , LSN kids are not bad, fairly professional. I would think that they s/b allowed into Goodman. There are some nice spots on the hill to set up a camera. Just like ESPN College Gameday
