Phillip Oladeji's 30-yard touchdown run gave Georgetown the lead in the third quarter and the Hoyas held on to defeat mistake-prone Lafayette 28-24 on Saturday night. Trailing 24-14, the Hoyas (2-0, 1-0 Patriot League) struck quickly on their opening second-half possession when Scott Darby hit Max Waizenegger with a 51-yard scoring pass on the third play. The Leopards (0-1, 0-1) then drove to the Georgetown 6, but Ryan O'Neil's pass was intercepted in the end zone by Will Carroll.
