Predictions are not looking good for UNH right now, judging from last week's scores of ranked FBS vs. FCS teams (see Iowa vs. E. Illinois). Pitt, now only receiving votes in the FBS poll due to a loss to Utah last week in OT, is looking to rebound.

I hope the Wildcats do a Jacksonville State in the 2nd half, make us FCS fans happy and continue their winning ways.

Pitt has a 30+ advantage over UNH as I write this.

I think UNH will give Pitt a run for their money. This game sets up well for the Wildcats since Pitt was at Utah last week and has Miami next week. Can you say sandwich game?

I'll take the Panthers 38-28.

UNH is miles better than Eastern Illinois. Pitt is maybe as good as Iowa.

Utah took the top off the sandwich. Can you say enraged Panthers beat the living crap out of whatever is put in front of them this week?

Watching them play Utah showed some flaws. Will they still be here this week? UNH looked very good in the opener. If UNH can stop the run and keep the pass rush up it will be close cause I think Toman will get scores. Hope so. UNH 17 Pitt 27

I don't think we win, however, Pitt continues to struggle against the spread and is missing a couple starting defensive players. Would be nice to keep it close.

But I believe Pitt is their first ranked FBS opponent - I hope you still remember the thoughts of App State facing and eventually defeating Michigan...

This is a great challenge for the program...Pitt will win it 24-19 (because of the kicking issues - 2 missed XP's)

I've got to agree with crowd that UNH won't win, however 30 points seems a stretch. Pitt showed a lot of flaws on D against Utah and I think UNH is a better all round team this year than last. The kicking game looked weak on Saturday, but someone said the freshman was banging them home from 50 yards during warm-ups. The punting game looks better this year and Peters, Setian, and Fox all looked sharp. Once again, it looks like Toman will be the key to success.

UNH needs to have a couple things go right for them EARLY (turn over/big play ect) in the game for this to stay competitive.
If Pitt gets the breaks and can just sit back and pound the ball at us, it could be a long afternoon.

If UNH can consistenly run the ball, then I think that we have a chance. Also Utah used a short passing game quite a bit to keep the Pitt pass rush at bay. UNH will need to do similar and on occassion throw it down field to try to catch Pitt napping. It wil be a closer game than some think. 27-24 Pitt

UNH has a better coaching staff than Pitt. I don't know what other advantage they can exploit, but I expect them to have gameplanned the entire summer for this game. It would not surprise me if Wanny does not have the slightest idea what UNH's record against FBS teams is. I feel good about UNH being in this game through the first half. If you look at UNH's FBS wins, they do not follow the Jacksonville State model. Only the oldest one against Rutgers involved letting them get ahead and then hitting them when they relaxed. UNH consistently comes into these games better prepared than the opponent and takes early leads, then hangs on for the win. I don't think they'll be able to hang on this time, I think Pitt will come out and whup them in the second half, but taking the lead early in this game is fully within my expectations. I will be disappointed in UNH if Pitt smacks them around start-to-finish.

That was me...with the caveat that he destroyed the kicks (I saw some 50 yarders that probably went 60 yards or so) but man, they were nowhere close to the field goal posts right now. I saw a few hit the play clock. Still, he's got the leg ... just needs to learn the accuracy.

UNH has stepped it up a notch with this FBS team. Would not be surprised to see UNH pull it out, this should be a good game. Don't see UNH winning it by more than 3 or losing by more than 12. Good luck UNH!! If you do win, possible to say goodbye to your coach next year... I'm surprised no one from FBS has grabbed him yet!! I was hoping UMass could have lured him away 2 yrs ago....

From the media guide, UNH played its first I-AA/I-A (at the time) game in 2002, losing to Kent State. The following year, they lost to Central Michigan. 2004-2005, 2007-2009 UNH has had won over FBS teams.

Pitt is their first highly-ranked FBS (i.e. 1-25 and RV in the polls) opponent to play them in the subdivision era.

I happened to hear this afternoon on a local sports report that Seamus O'Neill will be starting on the O line tomorrow.Does anyone know if he is a replacement for an injured Wildcat or has he simply worked his way on to the 1st team? I'd be interested if anyone has any info.

If we can half their point total , I will be happy 20-10, 28-14, 42-21 It is time for Toman to finally prove he is the veteran starting QB and has to play error free ball, no picks, fumbles, just to keep this thing respectable

The offense has really hurt the D here. First you have the INT which sets Pitt up at the 20. Then you have a 19 yard punt which sets them at the 46. You need give your defense some help!

Back at the hotel... Rather sad but proud of UNH. Also I have been extremely critical of rj toman well I was proud of him today, gutsy performance. A few bad plays but I can say he made zero stupid plays... And for that I give him the game ball UNH was in this game but they just got beaten down and tired ......horrific tackling in the second half.... And also unh couldn't catch a break in first half. Lots of walking today and the sun beat the crap out of me so my apologies if I didn't write above a 5th grade level
