Kickoff scheduled for 7 pm MST (that's Standard time. Currently the same as PDT). Portland State eager to start the new Nigel Burton era, with a new type of offense (the Nevada pistol) and a new type of defense (a traditional 4-3 alignment). The Vikings are 0-8 against the Pac-10, but have never played the Sun Devils until now. The Vikings still have not announced the starting quarterback, but the rumor is that Connor Kavanaugh will start, but no doubt Drew Hubel and Tygue Howland both will see action. Cory McCaffrey returns to running back, a position he played in high school where he rushed for the most yards ever in Oregon high school football. The Sun Devils, consensus pick to finish ninth in the Pac-10, are coached by former Montana State quarterback and Oregon State (among others) coach Dennis Erickson.

Should be a clear night with temps just below 100 at kickoff.

Kickoff slated for 7:22 pm MST/PDT. Kavanaugh is slated to start at QB. 105 degrees so highly doubtful it will be much below 100 if ever during the game.
