Hot Seat? – Ask Brian VanGorder. The former Georgia defensive coordinator was named the new head coach at Georgia Southern after Sewak was fired at season’s end. The fact that Sewak was canned after leading his team into the postseason speaks volumes about the expectations at this program. VanGorder has stated that he plans to open up the Eagles’ trademark triple-option offense, a bold move which may tell his tale in south Georgia.

The administration may give VanGorder a free pass this season, but I very seriously doubt there will be many happy Eagle fans if GSU doesn't make the playoffs.
