Any News from the Grave !!!

Just curious to see if there is any news to revive any of the dropped programs .
Boston U, MAAC teams , NU , Hofstra U, etc. There was alot of noise on Hofstra part .
But has it just died down and gone away. Any club teams forming to take there place.
Restoring the teams on lower level. Any news at all.
An what has the impact been on these schools. Have other programs benefitted from
added budgets. Have the enrollments fallen off.
Nothing has been mentioned . Any news thru the grapevine would be interesting.

University of New Orleans has just announced that its club football team will be upgraded to varsity next year - as part of its move down to Division III, approved by the Membership Committee and subject to the NCAA Management Council next month.

Stonybrook ladies hoops just signed 2 UNO players who will be eligible this year. It will be strange this year with no Hofstra in the local media discussing football. I suspect SBU will not see Hofstra on any of its schedules in 2010-2011 - maybe our usual home and away in baseball thats it.
That huge stadium will be for soccer only -until lax starts in February.
