Surprised none of our SWAC posters got around to putting this up...

Some of the positives from the article...

TSU also received a boost in April when the Harris County Commissioners Court and the Houston City Council approved a deal on a $95 million professional soccer stadium project that would be shared by the Dynamo and TSU's football program. Construction for the 21,000-seat stadium, which will be located east of downtown Houston, is set to begin in October, and completion is scheduled for 2012.

McClelland said TSU was in talks with a private donor about possible construction of a baseball stadium. The Tigers currently use the field at McGregor Park as their home venue.

With a projected budget of $7.8 million for 2010-11, McClelland believes the program has the resources it needs to continue its momentum and make a huge leap next season.

If you know anything about TSU, it is their basketball/volleyball facility is great - but their baseball facility lacks and they've been relative nomads in football. If TSU gets their baseball facility in order (no mention of softball?) along with that gem of a football facility, they will have by far the best facilities in the SWAC...

The $7.8M budget is also pretty significant, as that ranks near or at the top of the SWAC. No information on where the money came from, as far as student-fees, NCAA grants, increased subsidy from the university or significant outside donations...

Why should we post it when you are around to do it?
