Creating National FCS TV Game of the Week

If you could construct the perfect television schedule for a national FCS Game of the Week, what would you select?

A few years back, AGS/CSN would open up the voting for something like this, where we would all nominate games and then vote.

To save the hassle, I went through the whole schedule and picked what I felt were the top games between FCS 'combatants' each week for the schedule. Some weeks are leaner than others, but this is what I came up with...

Week 1: Lamar @ McNeese St - return of a rivalry, first game for new Lamar program

Week 2: Montana @ Cal Poly - this game will mean something at the end of the year more than likely for both teams

Week 3: Stephen F. Austin @ Northern Iowa - a SLC v MVFC matchup of potential top 15 teams

Week 4: Liberty @ James Madison - with all the hype of Liberty, can they make the trip to JMU and get the big win?

Week 5: North Dakota @ South Dakota - just a personal desire to see this rivalry in action, especially in wake of the UND name issue

Week 6: Elon @ Appalachian State - the up and coming program in the SoCon vs the program that was clearly the team of the late '00s.

Week 7: Richmond @ UMass - both teams have to go through brutal schedules, could this game be one that is looked back upon as ending the other's season earl?

Week 8: Prairie View A&M v Southern (Shreveport, La.) - Henry Frazier III takes on Stump on a neutral field. The SWAC West will be decided and could be a big statement game for PV.

Week 9: Richmond @ Villanova - do you really need to ask? ;)

Week 10: Appalachian St @ Georgia Southern - the 'flagship program' of FCS at least that's what it was hosting the team that has taken the title as of late.

Week 11: Southeastern La. @ Stephen F. Austin - time to shed the darkhorse? or SFA's coronation?

Week 12: Montana St @ Montana - brawl for the Big Sky title? or Montana looking to wrap up a seed?

Stony Brook vs. Liberty for the conference title could definitely top what might by then be a meaningless matchup between Montana and Montana St, esp in an East Coast dominated FCS.
