The media that covers ODU declares that roughly 95% of those individuals who had season tickets last year for the first year of Monarchs football renewed.

Says the blogger, " Look for official seating for football at Foreman Field to increase from 19,782 to to 19,822 in the coming season. Looks like the Monarchs are going to sell 40 more seats that will be in the end zone behind the rail for loge seating. "

Either way you break this, great news for an upstart program and perhaps encouragement to other programs - start football! xhurrayx

Of couse, it didn't hurt to have had a hardly-used 19,782 seat stadium sitting across the street from campus!

and reside in one of the most fertile recruiting areas on the east coast. something all VA schools (and some non-VA schools) benefit from.

I guess that helped Lamar as well and could help UT-Arlington...

I just can not believe that UT-Arlington has not really gone full throttle with football. They have a club football team and it would assure themselves a spot in the Southland Conference, since the league is football driven.
