Please realize this is the Fargo, ND media, so it's entirely possible that they could've meant Jacksonville State.

But this caught my eye since I thought JU was in the non-scholarship (actually, non-athletic aid for football players) Pioneer League?

It also happens that players or their parents sometimes just tell the media that they received 'scholarship offers' when they were really academic scholarships or other types of aid packages.

This happens frequently even with DIII teams where a kids gets academic aid but in reality it's for football.
