This new scoreboard comes with the help of $1 million donation by Education First (http://www.lamarcardinals.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/021510aaa.html) that Lamar announced today for the athletic program.

Another nice coup for the Lamar program...

We'll see how well they perform on the field! xwhistlex

Lamar has loaded up on the transfers to try and get instant success. Their head coaching hire really left people second-guessing, since it was definitely not the name that many thought they would hire. And they are entering the Southland a year or two earlier than anyone imagined...

As crazy as all that is, they have done well in the ticket department...and evidently, in the fundraising area!

Anybody think that it's ironic that a $1 donation was made to the athletic department by Education First?

Makes perfect sense to me. Pretty much a proven fact that a football program on campus improves student recruiting.

Go Lamar!
