AMHERST - A trip to Michigan is the most glamorous aspect of the 2010 University of Massachusetts football schedule.

A revised Colonial Athletic Association alignment will also have a profound impact, though.

UMass released its schedule Thursday, highlighted by a Sept. 18 game against Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Michigan Stadium's capacity is 106,201. The Wolverines have played to more than 100,000 fans in their last 223 home games. They averaged 108,933 in 2009, playing to standing-room-only crowds and 103 percent of listed capacity.

This game, therefore, promises to provide the largest crowd ever to witness a UMass sports event.

How good will UMass be in 2010?

Can they play hard enough to hang with Michigan?

Michigan still hasn't recovered, this may be a good game to watch?

Here's hoping you beat the winged helmet on the road and lose to it at home.

Right, considering the ease with which the Hens crushed UMass last year, UD will probably have little problem whipping the Minutemen....... AGAIN! xlolx

I think it's going to be another non-playoff year for Umass :(

Only 5 home games...but I suppose that's what happens if you're going to play an FBS and alternate two home/home's every season.

Barring more transfers, smart money would be on UMass being slightly worse than we were last year. So we may only beat the Wolverines by 1. Which will be completely unacceptable if UConn beats them by 2 or more.

Speaking of transfers, we have seven so far - 3 Northeastern, 2 Hofstra, 1 Nova and 1 Central Michigan. 3 offensive lineman, 1 defensive lineman, 1 wide receiver, 1 running back and 1 linebacker.

As there is no qb in the group, I wonder if we are done.
