OL or DL? There's not too many 6'1 265 lb OL playing FBS football, especially not at WVU. Obviously he was a good HS talent given his rating but i think his size might have caught up with him in Morgantown.

West Virginia plays with an undersized DL, so his size didn't stick out as a problem for the Monutaineers. Either he just didn't like it there, or he didn't think he would be getting alot of playing time.

He was a heckuva player in high school, and will likely help ODU immediately.

6-1 265....is he a DE?

Won't be effective at DT at the division I level.

Tell that to JMU All-American DT Sam Daniels. He maxed out in his senior year at 6'1" 270. There are plenty of DTs around FCS playing well at that size.

Even in WVU's own conference, Rutgers had a DT named Ramel Meekins who went about 5'11", 270 and was a holy terror on their 11-2 team in 2006.

He was an all-state caliber wrestler in high school, which helped him maximize the leverage from his lower center of gravity.

I remember Ramel Meekins as an animal defensive tackle who wreaked havoc in the middle of Rutgers defensive line for that 2006 team.

How about Eric Foster also from Rutgers who's on the Colts now? He's short and light. It's not always the size of the player, it's the size of the player's heart. This guy seems ideal to be an interior guy for a zone blocking scheme or a defensive tackle who will do well. All he needs to add is about 20 pounds and if he's athletic enough and a good football player (which i'm sure he is) i'm sure he'll be a good add for ODU.

Hopefully ODU can continue to grab disgruntled big program talent.....at least until we move to the Big East. Oops, did I say that outloud? LOL. Just kidding.

Hi - saw your picture of Foreman Field - It has been 100 years since I was there (state HS playoffs) - I have read that they really did some major improvements - How was it? - how about the area around the stadium? - used to be a little sketchy - You guys have so much local talent it won't take long before you are a true force - My wife is originally from Hampton and grew up in Phoebus (long before a Phoebus HS) but we always keep tabs on Hampton and Phoebus - great teams with great players - sorry my birth state of WV couldn't keep Davenport and then sorry he didn't come to APP but I certainly understand his reasons ----

Dan Klecko got a paycheck for a few years in the NFL as a 5'11" 275lbs DT.
