Interesting. His high school coach, Bill Napier, is Billy Napier's father. Billy was Furman's starting QB in 2001 and '02.

Former Maryland Quarterback Joel Statham, reportedly, has transfered to Jacksonville State in time for the spring semester. Big improvement (IMO) at QB for the Gamecocks. Story was reported in a D.C. area paper and another in a Douglas County (GA) paper.
