Too bad Moats wasn't redshirted his freshman yr in 06', as every JMU fan would love to have him back for another year. He was in the 2 deep as a true freshman and sophomore, but didn't start until last yr.

NFLDraftscout.com has him rated as the #19 OLB, projected as a 6th-7th round pick. (Tracy from W&M is rated as the #21 OLB BTW).

Moats is JMU's top rated pro prospect, but Mike Caussin is currently projected by NFLdraftscout as the #2 tightend out of I-AA (behind Overbay from EWU) ans #12 tightend overall. JMU actually hasn't had a player drafted in 9 years since RB Curtis Keaton was drafted in the 4th round in 2000. (Akeem Jordan, 07' Buchanan runner up and leading tackler on the Eagles through the 1st 1/2 doz games (till he got hurt and missed 5 games) was an undrafted free agent in 07') So maybe Moats will be one of 2 JMU players drafted in the 2010 draft.

I would have like to have seen what Dane Fletcher could have done without missing two games with mono as his stats would have been almost dead even of Moats when you project them out.
