Jake Stroot is one of the best in the business.

Appalachian football video coordinator Jake Stroot won the prestigious 2008 SAVVY Award at the annual Collegiate Sports Video Association convention earlier this month in St. Louis, Mo.

Stroot's video earned first-place recognition over 24 entrants for the SAVVY award, which recognized the best in collegiate highlight and motivational videos. He beat out runners-up from Georgia Tech and LSU for the top prize.

Stroot is in ninth year as the Mountaineers' football video coordinator. He earned a bachelor's degree from ASU in 2004. He resides in Boone with his wife, Ashleigh, and son, Peyton.

I don't have one, but there are plenty of nearly identical ones available on that site.

Check out any of the pregame videos on vimeo - they are the best of any FCS video on the net. Jake is a beast.

Stroot is so good in part because he has so much footage to choose from. I don't know how big of a staff they have, or how many cameras on game day, but the amount of footage he has to choose from is insane. I say that because I'm completely, 100% jealous.

No hairs standing up on the back of my neck because ASU is not my squad, but anyone can see that that's a well-done video. Nice work.

As part of the new tower they built a heck of a replay/video room. Each home game is televised on goasutv, not sure how many cameras they use though.

Yeah, I've always been impressed with the type of footage he has, especially the locker room footage, sideline footage, and practice/workout footage.
