FootballCoachScoop has BREAKING NEWS and the FIRST TO REPORT that Mark Stoops (Arizona Defensive Coordinator) will be named the new Head
Coach as he has accepted the offer, but is not signed. On December 1, FootballCoachScoop was FIRST TO REPORT that Athletic Director Ron Strollo has
offered the Head Coach position to Mark Stoops (Arizona Defensive Coordinator), according to our source the deal is between $250,000 and $280,000 per
year, at least double the value of former coach Jon Heacock’s deal.

I'd be surprised is 250k was any kind of a raise from a Mark Stoops' current gig.
Arizona football can't be as well funded as USC or Texas or whatever but co-ordinator gigs in BCS conferences (I thought) started at 2 or 300k even for non-big name coaches.

I guess he really wants a head gig somewhere

Sorry if this has been posted before and I missed it, but it looks like Stoops has taken the job....to be Florida State's defensive coordinator.
