Does anyone know the attendance #'s from the first round games?

Montana vs SDSU was 19,197.

McNeese State vs UNH was 10,009. It seemed like most came to the game in RV's to tailgate, too. Pretty cool atmosphere!

12,216 in Boone, but anyone that was there could tell you that number seemed 5,000 low or so.

6,497 in Williamsburg. Approximately 2,000 low, IMO.

Villanova: 4300 and change, if that stadium wasn't half to two thirds full then I need to get my eyes checked.

So we just all chronically lie to the NCAA? Love it.

That was the number reported to the NCAA but from my experiences on the sideline looking into the stands it looked more like 14-15,000.

Of course, this wouldn't be the first time the crowd looked bigger than was reported to the NCAA in a playoff game. ;)

Now that I think about it, it looked like we had 23,000+

There weren't that many unclaimed seats

I concur - was actually pretty happy with our turnout, considering student gone. Thanks to Elon fans for their contribution!

I snapped a few photos of the stadium from both sides during the third quarter, and I would say the stands were at least 50-60% full.

Wa Griz looked 85% full.

26,000*.85 = 22,100

That would be my prediction

Playoff attendance is always under reported, games played at UD always appeared to be 3,000 or 4,000 more then reported.

so, actual butts in the seats were at or above 9,000? Sure "sounded" like 10K or so on AM950.

I would say. Crowd seemed similar to the crowd we had for Umass (before the monsoon).

so the "home" teams under reporting their count and are pocketing an average of 5,000 X $20 or $100,000. ??? There's your guarantee NCAA..... yes SCSU got hosed...but it seems the "handicapper's" home picks 7 0f 8 held serve.

How is Univ. of Richmond student tickets FREE?
I thought that the NCAA made everyone charge at least $5.00 for each ticket.

Athletics subsidizes the cost in order to get a high turnout.

School will give the NCAA the money. After all, UR costs between 40 and 50k a year now ... "Playoff tickets included".
