Kickoff scheduled for 3:30 pm MST (2:30pm PST) from Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho. This is the battle for the Big Sky conference cellar as the Bengals try to get not only their first conference win of the year, but their first win overall for the year. The Vikings already have a conference win, having beaten Northern Colorado earlier. The Vikings will start Justin Engstrom at quarterback, a tall, drop back type quarterback from Scappoose, Oregon via Oregon State. Drew Hubel is out of this game with an injured shoulder suffered in the last game against Montana State. Connor Kavanaugh is the backup and will no doubt see much action today, too. The Bengals are currently winless, but threw a big scare last week to nationally ranked and Big Sky conference top team, Montana, losing in the last seconds on a field goal. It will be interesting to see if the Bengals have confidence from that game to get the win here today. Weather is not a factor as the game is indoors.

Having a game on the very worst playing surface for any sport in all of college football in the country. Idaho State ought to play their home games at the nearest outside field; even if it's a high school field. It'd still be much more preferrable, indeed.
