Jordan McCord is officially listed as the starter in Game Notes, relegating Eachus to the backup position. Injury-related? Otherwise, the starting lineup stays the same

This is the 2nd time in school history that a Colgate team features 3 players with over 1,000 yards rushing in their careers. Greg Sullivan and Nate Eachus are tied at 18th in the school's rushing annals with 1,536 yards. For Sullivan, that makes him only the 3rd QB in school history to break the 1,000 yard mark. Jordan McCord is on the list as well, his 1,021 yards good for 29th all-time

Colgate's had a 13 yard gain, a 22 yard gain and a touchdown all called back on holding calls plus a fumble.
Lafayette lost a touchdown to a bad no pass interference call but still scores, easily.
At this point, there is absolutely no reason for Lafayette to run the ball.

TheValleyRaider

TheValleyRaider

Can't say I saw the game going quite like this. Lots of points, we'll see if that changes in the 2nd half. Colgate needs to stop shooting themselves in the foot with penalties. Eachus looks fantastic, neither defense looks very impressive. 2nd half should be interesting, for sure

Colgate fortunate to hold Lafayette to 3.
Colgate down by six at the half.
Halftime adjustments to come for both defenses.
Colgate has 246 total yards. Lafayette has 226.
Colgate has held the ball for 19:31 but given up 27 points--which tells you everything you need to know about each defense.
As for penalties, Colgate has been flagged for 50. Lafayette for 15.

Great game. Congrats Lafayette. Nice to watch a Colgate team that fights until the end.

Lafayette, good luck against Holy Cross. Holy Cross, good luck against Lafayette.
Hope whoever wins makes a little noise in the playoffs.

Here's hoping for a Lafayette win over HC which will give Liberty a shot at the playoffs over Holy Cross.

Curley and his receivers seem to get better every week....Amazing stuff....

Congrats Pards. That was the most exciting game I can remember in a long time.

Nice to play against an opponent whose supporters don't blame the refs or anybody else for a loss. Tough, tough Colgate team. Any questions I had about Eachus were answered in spades! Best of luck the rest of the way out.

I certainly wanted that ball to hit the Lafayette returner and it did, to my Colgate eye on my three inch computer screen, but I am assuming the ref had a better (and slightly less biased) view. Watched the interview with Curley afterward. He seems to be a class act.

I was having a heart attack watching on my monitor half a continent away. I can't imagine how incredible this game must've been in person.

Way to go, 'Pards!

No doubt that was the narrowest of margins. Way too close for comfort for my liking.

Navy is up on ND 21 - 7. Well, they're PL for every other sport. Wouldn't it be just great if . . . . .

Nah, never mind.

The Middies get it done .. albeit with more drama than their should have been.

There goes your dream season Little Biddle!

I'll take 9-2 instead of 2-9. What about you, Mr. 2 wins. xnonox

Congrats to Nate for tying the Colgate record for points scored in a single game with 30. Was done by two others, Ed Tryon in 1922 and Stacy Hall in 1981.

It was! What a game to see in person! If you had told me before the game we were going to put up 56, I would have sat back to enjoy a very comfortable win. Christ, my heartrate didn't return to normal until 4 minutes left! Excellent game! I brought up that 1988 Lehigh-Lafayette game to the Colgate fan seated next to me as a comparison to the most high scoring Pard game I had saw. Now this takes it. That Nate Eachus is a beast! I understand LC was after him too but financial aid office finally threw in threw in the towel on that race. Kudos to the Raiders for a most memorable game and not giving up. Now I know why 'Gate is such a nemesis!

You weren't alone. Lehigh was running strong in there with McGowan (former Hazleton star) lobbying heavily. Originally it was reported he was going to accept a grant from Harvard to WRESTLE, as he was all-state champ his junior year. Obviously, he rethunk.:(
