The Jaguars drove to the PV 23-yard line with less than a minute to play. Bryant Lee completed a pass to Juamorris Stewart to the six-yard line but was stripped of the ball by Chris Adingupu to preserve the Panthers’ first win at Southern since 1963.
The Panthers have defeated both Grambling State and Southern in the same season for the first time since 1964.
