To mark the passing of the first century of Maroon/Colonel football EKU has been holding all kinds of events and has a special website up. It's got some interesting historical things for those who are into that kind of of stuff, particlarly if you scroll down to parts one and two of the documentary they've produced. Each clip is about five minutes or so, and they will be releasing additional parts as the season progresses.

Anyway, for those who want to check out the old time footage and the like...

I've been very impressed with the videos they have put together. I wish they would produce a DVD of the "Dynasty" from 79-82.

Roy Kidd was and still is "the man." What a legend! His very presence at a game reminds all Colonel fans that he will always be the heart and soul of Colonel football.

A bump for the excellent part three of the documentary series which covers the 1970s culminating with EKU's dominant 30-7 win over Lehigh for the 1979 National Championship. A lot of good color footage on this episode.

Great stuff! It seems like just "yesterday" when my Apps were playing EKU & Coach Kidd in the play-offs. How time flies!

Me too my friend. 'Poo-Loo' what a great nickmame. I know his cousin, but she is not for sure how he got this moniker. Here is to 100 more years of EKU football. xbeerchugx

I was thinking the same thing. LOL I bet he got it when he was very young and couldn't pronounce certain words real well.xlolx

We have got a SC game this yr. w/WCU. Maybe in the near future a ASU/EKU series can see the light of day again? xthumbsupx

Would like to see an EKU-App game again. Enoyed that road trip!
On another note, the EKU All Century Team, wouldn't it be great to see all those guys at their heyday on one team suiting up in maroon, Coach Kidd on the sideline and just to see a Elroy back flip after a TD.....would be soooooo sweet!:):):)
