DB Dominique Hawkins - North Dakota (6-0, 174, So., Plymouth, Minn.)
With 30 seconds left before halftime, Dominique Hawkins picked off Stony Brook QB Michael Coulter at the UND 35-yard line and ran the ball 65 yards for a touchdown, breaking a 7-7 tie and swinging the momentum in North Dakota’s 31-24 victory. The interception was Hawkins’ second of the season - both resulting in TDs - and the third of his career. He also finished with six tackles (five solo) and one pass breakup. He is currently tied at No. 15 with two others this season among Great West defensive players with 26 tackles (15 solo) with an average of 5.2 stops per game. Hawkins is also tied at third in passes defended with five and in interceptions with two.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Coastal Carolina quarterback Zach MacDowall (Acworth, Ga.) has been named the Big South football Choice Hotels Offensive Player of the Week, and teammate Derrick Frasier (Orangeburg, S.C.) has been named the Defensive Player of the Week for games played during Week 6 of the 2009 regular-season, it was announced today by the Conference office. In addition, Coastal Carolina kicker Justin Durham (Lexington, N.C.) is the Special Teams Players of the Week, while Presbyterian College running back Lance Byrd (Jacksonville, Fla.) has been selected as the Freshman of the Week.
