Why was Stephen F. Austin’s participation in 1989 Division I-AA championship vacated?

I thnk it was an ineligible player or players.

It was definately because they had someone that was playing without making the grades. When i played at Sam my position coach was on that team. He was very bitter about it because he said the guy or guys (can't remember if it was more than one) were'nt even contributors. He was a freshman at the time and didn't play either but still very bitter. We always gave him a hard time because of our hatred of the Jacks.
