For those who have Chattanooga experience......since the Marriott hotel where UNI is staying is full......where should I stay that is in walking distance of the stadium.........

Over on Panthernation, someone said they got a 5 person suite with mini-kitchen for a little less than the Marriott. It's like a block closer to the stadium than the Marriott, so you'd still be able to sneak over and visit UNI folks easily enough! :hurray:

I'm staying at Staybridge Suites as well. The web site list it as .3 miles from Finley and on the same street.

Resisdence Inn downtown is too bad of a location. The hotel is next to the minor league baseball stadium and a fairly easy walk to anywhere in downtown. I would probably ride to the stadium.

Unfortunately, I am staying about 8 miles East of town in a Holiday Inn Express. Good news is it's on points, so no charge.

How early should a motorist arrive to get a nearby parking/tailgate spot?

Any more recommendations from anyone?If you are driving then almost any place in the metro area is fine. If you're not bringing a tailgate then park somewhere nearby outside of the main tailgate area or park there early afternoon. Check out the photo albums from last year:

If downtown is full, I would try around Hamilton Place Mall. You will have to drive but there should be plenty of shopping and normal stuff to do in good size towns.

Let's hope, except my decision to go will come on Friday.

With a sellout this could be a breakout year for I-AA. The semis looked great on TV and a full house for the Championship game will look even greater.

Could this lead to other cities increasing their bids or bidding on the game?

There are currently a few rooms available at the Marriott.....

Just got one....canceled the Days Inn.....sorry Ralph.....want to be as close to the UNI clan as I can be....

I guess rooms are opening up from cancellations......
