No games in the Big Sky this weekend. Opening weekend is next week for everyone but NAU (Jacks start 9/12).

Western Oregon @ EWU
ISU @ Arizona State
Western State (CO) @ UM
MSU @ Michigan State
UNC @ Kansas
PSU @ Oregon State
Sac State @ UNLV
WSU @ Wyoming

2 Pac-10 opponents, 2 Mtn West, 1 Big 12 and Big 10, and 2 DII's.

Next week I'll start my usual schedule, with Big Sky power rankings on Mondays and predictions on Wednesday.

Western Oregon is NCAA Div II just like your "opponent" Western State.

Enough waiting!! This is worse than Christmas when you were a kid!!!

Shouldn't see anything surprising in the first week. The FBS games are pretty clear cut, as are the rest. I think the objective going into each game is to see how much a team can learn about itself and execute the gameplan. If they can do that, and be consistent in running and passing (not too many 3 and outs), then the game is a success.

But if you play DII, then you damn well better win. Big.

Western Oregon is in the same conference (I believe it is the Great Northwest conference) as Central Washington, Dixie State, and Humboldt State. They lost Western Washington this year. DII conference.
