indiana state has added luke powell as the sycamores' secondary coach, morgan turner as the team's quarterbacks coach and jesse minter as the sycamores' running backs coach.

powell is a former wide receiver at stanford. turner is the son of chicago bears offensive coordinator ron turner. minter is the son of marshall defensive coordinator -- as well as former notre dame defensive coordinator and cincinnati head coach -- rick minter.

isu also recently hired ex-indianapolis colts wide receiver troy walters as offensive coordinator/WRs coach and former northeast oklahoma assistant dave poinsett as offensive line coach. poinsett has taken over the sycamores' recruiting coordinator as well.

isu lost assistant coaches troy johnson (linebackers/special teams coach) who left to become the head coach at mattoon, ill., high school, kyle caskey (running backs/ recruiting coordinator) who joined the coaching staff at mississippi, defensive backs coach edmund jones (left to enter private business), offensive coordinator bill diedrick (moved back to california) and offensive line coach ted unbehagen (moved back to texas).

another defensive coach has been hired but will not be formally announced for a couple more weeks.

also, former indiana state linebacker jayden everett has been added to the coaching staff as a defensive assistant.
