Consensus Draft Services Tabs Lane FCS Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
National attention continues to be bestowed upon Murray State defensive end Austen Lane as the senior-to-be was named the 2009 Football Championship Subdivision Preseason Defensive Player of the Year by the Consensus Draft Services.
Last month, Lane (Iola, Wisc.) was named to the CDS All-America First Team. He was one of four Racers to receive preseason honors as Marcus Harris (KR), DeAngelo Nelson (TE) and Derrick Townsel (WR) earned honorable mention recognition.
