How many of you are planning to follow your team on the road this season? How many games and which ones?

For me it'll be UMASS on 9/19 and New Hampshire on 11/7.

Me and my boyz might be making the roadie up to URI. It's been talked about several times at get togethers. Two of our friends live up just over the RI/MA border in Wrentham(?) Prepare yourself.

Still unsure if I'm going to Chicago for the Northwestern game. Definately taking the family down to Wiliamsburg this Fall and trying to drink all SF's Busch Light.

Hope to get to the Navy game this November. Have been most years but missed the last one for a kids soccer game. Others will also be dependant on kids too.

Hens really screwed me this year at home. They normally play the first three home games at 7pm, but only the first game is 7pm and that's a Friday so it wouldn't matter. Richmond is a 3:30 start and DelSt is a Noon. Chances are slim that they won't conflict with soccer. xoopsx

I do luck out on the distance this year. Maine is the only Hen game that is more than 2.5 to 3 hours for me to get to...

West Chester 100 miles
Richmond 100 miles
Delaware State 100 miles
at William & Mary 140 miles
at Maine really far
Massachusetts 100 miles
at Towson 60 miles
James Madison 100 miles
Hofstra 100 miles
at Navy 50 miles
at Villanova 140 miles

Spartanburg, SC for our game with Wofford on 10/3
Chapel Hill, NC for our game with UNC on 10/10
Boone, NC for our game with App State on 10/24
Birmingham, AL for our game with Samford on 11/7

Well, although it feels like a UD home game with the makeup of the crowd and the ample tailgating, the UD/nova game is on the Main Line this year.

For me, I'm roadtripping to Towson, Navy, and nova this year. I'll be missing out on W&M (gorgeous stadium, but despise the poor sightlines in that place - too far to drive for such a minimal view of the game) and on Maine this year (just way, way too far).

Oh yea, the game with Temple is at the Linc. If ya can, come on out and root for a winner. Might be ya last chance before the UD season starts xnodx.

As for the season finale, you and all of your Blue Hen brotheren are more than welcome at the Mainline. The more the merrier. We're close too, so you don't have to travel too far to watch some good football. xsmiley_wix

Our home schedule is not too bad either. We have that all powerful and mighty Lehigh squad coming in on 9/12. Probably afternoon game, and very hot/humid. xeekx

On 10/3, we have W&M, the new up and coming dominant force from the south, or at least SE VA. ;)

After that, our next meaningful home game will be our playoff opener, probably Holy Cross???xchinscratchx

Of course we are welcome up there - without the Blue Hen Nation coming up every other year, and the nice financial boon that comes along with it, nova football might not even exist. You're welcome, btw. :p

And I assume the Penn game is at Franklin. Two great venues in Philly to see a game. I thought UD had it good with so many close away games, but having two "away" games in Philly at places that accomodate as many Nova fans as you can bring is pretty cool. xthumbsupx

Yes, the UPenn game is at FF.

Nova doesn't have a bad away schedule. The 3 long trips are UR (5 - 6 hrs), Harrisonburg (5 - 6hrs), & UNH. I haven't done the math yet, but I'm sure it's in that 6 hr range from the Mainline. I'm sure other schools/fans have it far worse.

Making that 12 hr roundtrip ride two weeks in a row (UNH/JMU) might be a bit much. On top of that, I coach Pop Warner on Sundays. Those late/early morning returns can wear ya down.

Should be a fun time, and its been reported that a lot of "interesting folks" will be in attendance. Early signs seem to indicate that this is a "Can't Miss" event...but just rumors at this point.

If I don't make it to the NAU game, I'll just have to wait to see who the Griz play in Chattanooga, and make that road trip...xwhistlexxwhistlexxwhistlexxwhistlexxlolx

Most definitely on Saturday afternoon since we don't have lights! UNH games usually start at Noon. The Battle of the Wildcats is Homecoming at UNH which means significantly over capacity crowds and probably gridlock getting into the stadium area. Although I've heard they've got some new traffic flow plans. Last year I hit gridlock three hours before kickoff! xmadx

Hope to get to Georgia Southern, haven't decided between a two-day drive each way or flying on Labor Day weekend.

UMass probable depending on my golf league's end-of-season tournament.

Monmouth likely, St. Francis and Wagner possible (what else is retirement for?)

Central Connecticut would be likely depending whether I'd get home in time to help the bride with the 300+ monsters who'll visit on Halloween.

Actually it hasn't been that long. Missed the Nicholls game in Thibodaux in 2007 because of my stepmother's funeral. Before that it was the NAU playoff game in 2003. I had a bad case of the flu and my wife refused to let me go. :)

I'll be going to my "home" away game at Elon since it only takes me 40 minutes to get to Elon versus 2 hours plus for each ASU home game. I'll miss going to the ECU game since the daughter (ECU grad) of friends (both ECU grads) is getting married (to an ECU grad). The wedding party is all ECU or App people- go figure.
