Pretty impressive bunch. As expected, many Ohio players, but good to see the ongoing ability to land the out of state players as well. By the way, how often do you see an offensive lineman that also was a swimmer in high school?

OFFENSIVE LINE Kevin Bell, Clifton, Va. Three-year letterman in both football and competed on state-championship swim team.

Always good to see Virginia players going to Dayton.

Fairfax Connection (http://www.connectionnewspapers.com/article.asp?article=325615&paper=63&cat=105) lists him at 6-2, 230 - not skinny, but not very big for O-line either.

Dayton will more than likely redshirt him as a freshman. We have a history of "growing" our lineman. A kid coming in at 230 will probably end up playing at 250 to 270 in a couple of years. Still a bit light by "traditional" standards, but some of our best lineman have played at that weight. The spread offense helps a bit. We have a couple of other recruits coming in at the 270 to 275 range. These kids will play at 280 to 300 before they are done. It is rare for the Flyers to have 300+ lineman. Of course we do not employ a smash mouth running game either.... What we do have is great athletes at every position, including the lines.

Size is obviously not a factor when u watch this kids highlight tape on youtube. Hes off the ball and into the dlineman before they even get out of their stance. That is a preety rare trait to have in an O-linemen, With this athleticism he may have durability to move to other positions if needed.. If this kid puts on size that would be a rare mix of athleticism, skills, and Size.

Robinson is a very very solid HS program in N. Va. I'm sure the kid is a player and will do well by either bulkin up a bit or maybe working on his speed and playing inside backer.

Durability is very good considering many players come in at one position and are moved around to where their best fit.. It all depends on the work the player puts in, which alot of times is built up in high school around a good program.

you're kidding about the swimming = skinny thing, right? have you seen michael phelps?

swimmers (and i'm not one, so it's not like i have an agenda here) are freaking RIPPED. if i could have a swimmer's body, i would take it in a heartbeat. i'm sure there are some fat ass swimmers out there, but if you're competitive, you're most likely "all shredded up".
