Would be interesting to see the rankings since 1982 when the current FCS was formed. It's like comparing apples to oranges up unti 1982. For the first 75 years Furman was playing in one of the top conferences in the country as the current ACC and SEC was part of the SoCon. Many other teams either didn't have a team or were palying D-II, D-III or NAIA. Since 1982 Furman is 221-104 including playoffs which comes to 68 percent which probably would be a top 5 finish. In the 27 years Furman has played in FCS they have had only 2 losing seasons. The last losing season was 1996. :)

I'm a little confused. I thought Yale had the most wins of any I-AA/FCS school. They have both PL and the Ivies as having no Post season games but I know some Ivies and PL teams (Bucknell) played in bowl games way back when.

oh yeah, my dad used to talk about the GSU teams... and he's a West Virginia fan. they were pretty big news when they were winning titles, at least as big as you can be with the low level of FCS exposure (especially pre-ASU/Michigan).

Take your pick. I know Delaware and Dayton have been in a ton of playoff games, assuming their D-II/D-III games are included.
