SHSU's 2010 Schedule Announced

The big news is that SHSU plays first-year program Lamar on Oct. 2 in a OOC game. It's tough with 3 of 4 on the road to open the season. This is one of the four-game SLC years (the last one, since we all get 4/4 in 2011). As is the case in every four-game SLC year in this current schedule format - we get all the BIG games at home that our fans want in the league (SFA, TXST, McN).

So will Lamar be classified as a club team in 2010?

They are a Division I team and will count towards the wins necessary to reach the Div I win total considered for playoff eligibility. They intend to have the full amount of scholarships in 2010 allowed by the NCAA for an FCS program.

We're looking forward to it. It was a nice home-and-home, perhaps the first of several against Big South teams for the Kats.
