Welcome fans of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference football. As an alumnus of a MEAC school, the goal of this column is to provide you with an unbiased, brutally honest review of the football played in this conference. The opinions expressed in this column are based upon statistics and experience gained from sitting on the rainy, cold, hot and sunny football sidelines of just about every MEAC school.

With that introduction out of the way, let’s jump into a review of the 2008 MEAC football season. We’ll start by reviewing the performances of each football team and then name the best and worst games of the season. Finally, every good football column deserves a prediction.Read more » http://www.championshipsubdivisionnews.com/index.php/2009/02/12/csn-meac-review-2008-season-in-review?blog=5

The MEAC? Do they have football still? JOKE!!!!!!!

Keep it coming.

A little harsh though huh? Writeups on all the teams but:
Delaware State University (5-3 MEAC record, 5-6 overall)
Morgan State University (4-4 MEAC record, 6-6 overall)
Norfolk State University (3-5 MEAC record, 5-7 overall)

DSU, Morgan State and Norfolk State can all be summed up as “MEDIOCRE.” Together they achieved a record of 12-12 in conference play and 16-19 overall. These teams each had the ability to challenge top MEAC football teams on any given Saturday, but they did not show the breadth of competitiveness to challenge for the conference championship. Each team has the ability to break out of this MEDIOCRE mode and challenge for the title in 2009, however, it remains to be seen if they will make this critical step up next season.
