Tae Benson DB Fr. 5-11 180 Savannah, Ga./Windsor Forest
Two-time All-Region 3-5A selection, including first team on deefnse his senior year... Recorded 44 tackles, one forced fumble and two interceptions along with 12 kick returns for 322 yards and a touchdown his final year... Is the reigning Region 3-5A 200-meter champion in track and also was a member of the soccer program.

Michael Boydston ATH Fr. 5-11 190 Marietta, Ga./Walton
Georgia Sports Writers Association First Team Class AAAAA All-State selection while also earning Honorable Mention Class AAAAA All-State honors from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Georgia Football Magazine/Georgiafb.com... Also selected as Score Prep Cobb County Player of the Year, 790 AM Running Back of the Year and All-County honoree... As a senior had 303 carries for a school-record 1,859 yards (6.1 ypc) and 25 touchdowns, even with missing most of the team's final playoff game... Recorded 169.0 rushing yards per game with a long of 71 yards... Had 29 rushes for a season-high 335 yards, one of two 300-yard games of the year, in a 42-14 win over Alpharetta...Rated "63" by ESPN... Was a four-year letterwinner in high school... Jamey Cheatwood OL Fr. 6-5 310 Boiling Springs, S.C./Boiling Springs
Selected to play in the North-South All-Star Game in Myrtle Beach... Selected to the Class AAAA All-State squad by the High School Sports Report as well as Honorable Mention All-State from The State... Also a First Team All-Area honoree... Graded out at more than 90 percent and recorded more than 60 pancake blocks his senior season... Chose Coastal Carolina over Wofford, Presbyterian, Georgia Southern and Western Carolina.

Kaleb Dees OL Fr. 6-5 295 Laurens, S.C./Laurens
Earned a place on the South Carolina squad for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, helping the team to a win in the game... Also named to the Third Team All-State squad by The State, playing predominantly at left guard for the Raiders... Also honored on the Class AAAA All-State squad by the High School Sports Report... Helped the Raiders to an 11-3 record and a berth in the state semifinals... Joins high school teammate Logan Hall in the Chanticleers' recruiting class.

Logan Hall QB Fr. 6-1 193 Gray Court, S.C./Laurens
All Region 1-AAAA selection at quarterback as a senior after leading the Raiders to an 11-3 mark and a berth in the state semifinals... Was 127-for-228 for 2,119 yards, 17 touchdowns and just nine interceptions... Had a season-high 288 yards of passing in the final game of the year in the state semifinals against South Pointe... Had three games of 200 yards of passing or more his senior year... Also had 97 carries for 180 yards and three touchdowns... Had 62 for 1,973 yards (31.8 average) with a long of 46 and 16 punts inside the 20.

Cody Hayes OL Fr. 6-5 255 Conway, S.C./Conway
Helped the Tigers to an 11-2 record and region title this season... Was one of the leaders of Conway's berth in the playoffs before being upset in the second round by Laurens and future teammates Kaleb Dees and Logan Hall, both Coastal Carolina signees this year... Helped tailback Seth Moreland rush for 1,376 yards this year at Conway.

Drew Herring OL Fr. 6-3 320 Myrtle Beach, S.C./Carolina Forest
Was injured most of his senior season... Was one of the High School Sports Report's South Carolina Top 110 rising seniors heading into this year before the injury... As a junior played center and helped lead the Panthers on their second most successful season in school history at 7-4 accompanied by a playoff berth in Class AAA.

Johnnie Houston CB Fr. 6-0 200 Greenville, S.C./Woodmont
Played defensive back and quarterback at Woodmont... Led the Wildcats to an 8-4 mark and the second round of the playoffs his final season, earning a spot on the All-County Team from the Greenville Touchdown Club... As a senior passed for more than 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns, ran for 10 scores, caught three touchdown passes and added seven interceptions defensively... Ran 4.3 in the 40-yard dash at the Tusculum combine... Also experienced at kick and punt returns.

Matt Johnson DL Fr. 6-2 275 Columbia, S.C./Keenan
Named to represent South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas... Second Team All-State and the Class 2A Area Defensive Player of the Year according to The State... Helped Keenan post its first winning season in 14 years, a 7-4 mark... Totaled 19.5 sacks in his senior season at defensive end after having started the previous three years on the interior of the defensive line... Also was a wrestler at Keenan.

Tarvorris Jolly* DB R-Jr. 5-11 180 Shelby, N.C./Shelby (North Carolina)
Prior to Coastal Carolina: Played two years at North Carolina... Recorded just one tackle in 2008... In 2007 played in eight games, primarily on special teams, and as a backup cornerback... Saw action on a season-high 38 snaps vs. Miami... Finished the season with nine tackles, including seven solo stops and two assists... Had a career-high three tackles vs. Miami and at Wake Forest... Posted one tackle vs. James Madison and two stops vs. Duke... High School: Named to the North Carolina Associated Press All-State team as an athlete... SuperPrep's 22nd-ranked player in North Carolina... Ranked the No. 41 running back in the country and the No. 24 player in North Carolina by Rivals.com... Considered the No. 24 player in North Carolina by The Charlotte Observer... Member of North Carolina's Shrine Bowl team... Rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown and was named MVP in Shelby's 26-18 victory over Reidsville in the 2-AA state title game... Four-year starter at running back and defensive back... Adrian McCollum DL Fr. 6-3 245 Little Rock, S.C./Dillon
Honored on the High School Sports Report Statewide All-State squad as well as a WPDE All-Zone selection after leading the Wildcats to the 2A State Championship... Recorded 89 tackles and four sacks his senior year... Also named All-Region VIII-AA for his play on the offensive line his senior year... Nicknamed "Squeaky".

Will Middleton TE Fr. 6-5 245 Acworth, Ga./Kell
Posted 14 catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns his senior year, earning a place on the Cobb County Touchdown Club's All County Team... Was selected to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's The Georgia 150 this season... Rated two stars by Rivals.com... Also played linebacker on the defensive side of the ball where he recorded 47 total tackles (21 solos), six tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass breakupss, one fumble recovery and two forced fumbles.. Played quarterback during his freshman and sophomore seasons... Chose Coastal Carolina over Ohio, Indiana, Louisville, Rutgers and Marshall.

Donnie Owens DL Fr. 6-2 285 Fayetteville, N.C./Douglas Byrd
Played on the interior of the defensive line where he posted 126 total tackles (67 solos), 36 tackles for loss, nine sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick... Had six games with 10 or more tackles, including a pair with a season-high 12 tackles... Also ranked third on the squad in scoring with eight touchdowns and three two-point conversions as a fullback... Finished with 28 carries and 126 yards on the year... Helped Douglas Byrd into a berth in the Class 4-A State Championship game and a 12-4 record on the season.

D'Juan Smith LB Fr. 5-11 200 Broxton, Ga./Coffee
Led the Trojans to a 9-4 mark and a berth in the state playoffs his senior season, earning First Team All-Region 1-AAAAA... Is also one of the top basketball players at Coffee, helping the squad to a 10-1 mark in league play and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming regional basketball tournament... Recorded 119 tackles (83 assisted), five sacks, four fumble recoveries, two interceptions and one punt block.

Justin Trapp WR Fr. 6-0 175 Blair, S.C./Fairfield Central
Named the top back in Class AAA by the South Carolina Football Coaches Association and Honorable Mention All-State by The State and High School Sports Report... Selected to play for the South Carolina team in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, where he had more than 70 yards receiving on four catches while playing wide receiver... Led the Griffins to a 9-3 mark his senior year as well as a berth in the playoffs... Will also play baseball for the Chanticleers, as he is a highly-regarded player on the diamond... Selected Coastal Carolina over Appalachian State, Presbyterian and Vanderbilt... Comes from same high school as former Chanticleer and current Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Tyler Thigpen.

Pat Worley OL Fr. 6-3 310 Tabor City, N.C./South Columbus
Member of the North Carolina squad in the 2008 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas... Played on both the offensive and defensive lines in high school... Helped the Stallions rack up 11,152 total yards of total offense in his final two seasons... Joins former high school teammate Andrae Jacobs on the Chanticleer roster.

Trapp is a good prospect who will also play baseball at Coastal. ASU would not give him that option.
